After a brief stint in the early 1990s East-German Post Punk band FAUST, Reinhard Hüber launched his solo EBM project T.A.N.K. in 2001. T.A.N.K. is an acronym for Taktischer Angriff (auf’s) Nervenkostüm” (tactical assault on the nervous system). Reinhard played his first gig as T.A.N.K. at the inaugural Electric Tremor Festival in Dessau, Germany on March 22, 2002. The audience got instantly hooked to T.A.N.K.’s hammering beats and OLD-SCHOOL EBM sound, and yearned for an official release.

Reinhard has placed himself firmly at the forefront of the burgeoning EBM scene with the release of T.A.N.K.’s debut album “Musica Naturale” (Ars Electrique, 2003) featuring the band’s flagship songs “Freakshow” and “Electroheart.” The promising debut got the attention of Nader Moumneh (aka Mr. EAR) who invited Reinhard to take part in the legendary Dark Electro/EBM compilation “Old School Electrology (OSE) Vol. I” 4-CD box (EAR 001). T.A.N.K.’s stupendous OSE song “Game of Men” was highly praised by EBM lovers and critiques alike, and it remains a fan favourite to this day!

After a long hiatus, Electric Tremor unleashed T.A.N.K.’s fittingly-titled sophomore album “Return” in 2017. “Return” proved that T.A.N.K. hasn’t lost his touch as he masterfully crafted his unique EBM sound. A few years later, Nader Moumneh reconnected with Reinhard, and invited him to join Electro Aggression Records’ growing roster. T.A.N.K. contributed two astounding remixes to R010R “Total Disinformation Awareness” 2CD (EAR 015) and Synaptic Defect “Initializing Insanity” 2CD (EAR 017), and he quietly started working on T.A.N.K.’s third album “Broken Mirror.”

Many people view mirrors as reflections of one’s soul, suggesting that a broken mirror signifies a disruption in self-perception. The act of breaking a mirror often evokes feelings of dread and anxiety. A broken mirror can symbolize spiritual evolution, introspection, and the need for a new beginning. It may also represent breaking illusions and changing one’s perspective on life, society, and the world at large. These multiple interpretations highlight the multifaceted significance of a broken mirror in different contexts.
